Tuk Took started because our founder Sid couldn’t find the food he grew up loving in kitchens that mattered to him. Not watered down. Not over-explained. Just bold Indian flavors that felt like home. Now we’re building a brand that brings that same feeling to your table, your restaurant, your coffee shop. One bite at a time.
Tuk Took Bites started in Colorado with a simple but radical idea: that Indian cuisine — one of the world’s most ancient, nourishing, and soulful food traditions — deserves a front row seat in everyday American life.
This truck has history. Denver, many of you knew its previous incarnation, and we carry that legacy with deep respect. We are honored to have the blessing of the previous owner and operator as we begin this next chapter. We are not here to replace what came before — we are here to learn from our mentors, add our own energy, and keep building something special.
We’re a young team on a mission: to bring bold Indian flavors to people where they are — on the street, in cafés, in breweries, in busy kitchens across the country. We believe food should slow you down, nourish you, and reconnect you with something real. That’s why we’re here.
Tuk Took is driven by five simple beliefs:
1) Our primal relationship with food is broken: Why are we skipping meals or eating mindlessly? Food deserves our time.
2) The global food supply chain is broken: We are the smartest species, yet food inequality persists. We want to do better.
3) Ancient Indian Wisdom: Indian cuisine nourishes the mind, body, and soul. We incorporate Ayurvedic Super Spices like Ashwagandha and Turmeric.
4) Local First: The Revolution started in Denver! Shout out to Phoenix, Houston, and Durham for giving us a sense of community. We want to make you proud.
5) Second Chances: We believe in them for everyone—including ourselves with our customers. We are trying our best to build something "net good."
Food is identity and connection. Our purpose is to bring real Indian flavors out of the corner of the menu and into the center of the plate. We do this without shortcuts, because we believe you deserve food that makes you feel at home, no matter where you are.
We aren't just chasing numbers; we are building a brand that matters. This means paying our team fairly, treating every customer like a neighbor, and measuring our success by the good we do in our communities—not just the sales we make at the window.
To become the national home for real Indian food. We are proving that a business can do well by doing right. From our first truck in Denver to kitchens across the country, we are building a legacy of nourishment, one bite at a time.
Indian food shouldn't feel intimidating. We make it easy to order, easy to prepare, and easy to love—no culinary degree required.
Great food should taste the same on a Tuesday in a food truck as it does on a Saturday at a sit-down. Our products are built for reliability in real-world kitchens—not just test kitchens.
We don't just sell to operators—we work with them. When your guests win, you win. When you win, we win. That's not a tagline; that's how we actually run our business.
Born in Colorado, built for independent operators across the US. We're a small business that roots for other small businesses—because rising tides lift all tuk tooks.
The food system is broken. Indian cuisine is underestimated. And business-as-usual isn’t cutting it. Whether you’re cooking at home or running a kitchen, you can be part of something better. Shop our condiments, partner with us wholesale, or just eat well—every bite is a vote for the kind of food world we’re building together.
